좋은 음악가가 되기 위한 20 계명 : David Oistrakh

hello . I am Eunhyang Choi who wants to make the world beautiful with music.

The book "My life and Violin" (Written by D.Oistrakh) How to become a sincere and wonderful violinist?

David Oistrakh is one of the famous violinists of the 20th century. He was born in Ukraine in 1908 and became world famous through his numerous performances and recordings leading up to his death in 1974. His performances were recognized not only for their technical perfection, but also for their outstanding musical interpretation and expressiveness. He has played the works of famous Austrian composers such as Schubert, Brach, Heten, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich, and his performances have been used as inspiration and textbooks for many violinists. Also famous performers among his students are Kim Dae-geon, Park Soo-hwan and Choi Dong-gyu. He is one of the world's famous violinists, and his playing is credited with playing a major role in changing the culture of violin playing around the world for a long time.

1. Practice in the morning, noon, and evening as if you were eating. Just like starving to death if you don't eat, a violinist is like dying if you don't practice.

2. Get to know each person's strengths and weaknesses. Practice your weaknesses a lot. If that doesn't work, cover the flaws so that they are not visible. (Note that Oistrach had a problem with Upstaccato - if you listen to Saint-Saengseoju and Rondo Capriccioso, the Upstaccato part is changed to Spiccato)

3. Technique and musicality are one. Without technique, music cannot be made, and without musicality, technique is lost.

4. Make your professor an idol. Whether your professor is right or wrong, you must obey your professor. If you don't, even your professor will ignore you. If you don't like it, change the professor.

5. Knowing the Fall, you will know how precious a high seat is.

6. Don't copy any performer. That player is playing as much as he can, and you are playing as much as you can.

7. Don't listen to anyone except your professor. They just want you ruined. The only people who wish you well are your professors, your parents, and your best colleagues. Think of it as all garbage.

8. Ignore the audience when performing. Ignore the sound of coughing or whatever. Only when you think that you are enjoying music alone in an empty hall can truly good music come out.

9. Don't tremble when playing. Even if you take medicine, if you tremble, you will perish.

10. Treat your instrument like a treasure. Even a little bit of dust makes a difference. Be sure to change the bow hair once a month and the string once every two weeks. Do you change your clothes once a year? Do you shower once a year?

11. When practicing, turn off everything including the phone. You shouldn't even hear your parents tell you to eat.

12. When I was young, there were students who were stubborn and ignorant. These kids can become great musicians if you get them right. Instead, when you were young, you had to break that stubbornness unconditionally. There is one way. must be beaten unconditionally. No matter how hit you are, you won't die. To be honest, you don't even need legs to play the violin. Don't just hit your hand. Break the stubbornness of stepping on, hitting, or cutting with a knife.

13. If you want to take the sheet music to the teacher at first, you have to memorize it unconditionally. And tell the teacher to hit me every time I miss a musical note or pitch. So the musician gets good training.

14. Take a break a year. In particular, in summer, there is no performance, so it can be used to improve one's skills such as repertoire, and can be used as a time to take a break.

15. There is a big difference between concert performance and solo performance. I can hear every small thing in solo performance, but I can't hear that at all in collaboration. In other words, the sound must be loud in concert. The piano is beautiful and the forte must be loud. The recital is different. The piano is as small as possible. The forte is loud enough to tear your ears and give you a headache.

16. Tempo is your heart. Pick a tempo that suits your temperament.

17. Be poisoned. Don't say that you don't practice on the excuse that your body hurts or your head hurts. So when you're sick or have a headache, don't eat or sleep?

18. You may play your own number 18 for the rest of your life, until you die.

19. Respect yourself, but don't be proud.

20. Music is hard when you're young, but you enjoy it when you grow up. However, even in that enjoyment, you will practice and live sweating for the rest of your life.

To be a sincere and cool violinist?

1. Practice in the morning, lunch, and evening as you eat. A violinist is like death if he doesn't practice, just as he stars to death if he doesn't eat.

2. Identify each person's shortcomings. Practice your weaknesses a lot. If it still doesn't work, cover the shortcomings in plain sight. (Note that Oistrach had a problem with Upstacato - if you listen to Saint-Saint and Rondo Capricioso, you turn the Upstacato part into Spicato)

18. Your own repetitor can be played for the rest of your life, until you die.

19. Respect yourself, but don't be arrogant.
